Behind the October 2024 Glam Bag Design
Several palmfuls of charm, two tablespoons of mystery, three dashes of darkness, and a sprinkle of supernatural vibes—that’s what our designer cast in her cauldron to conjure up the most wicked Halloween Glam Bag designs for Ipsters to pick a winner from. Out of four frighteningly fabulous designs, this bag won the vote and beckons you to “create your own magic.”
At first glance, the bag draws your eyes to the images contrasted against the bag’s black background. “We wanted to focus on more ‘witchy’ imagery,” Wong says about the unique pattern, which led Wong to use a bit of divination herself. “At the beginning of the design process, I tried to meditate on all the elements that are related to magic and I got visions of palm readings, crystal balls, tarot spreads, and moon magic.”
Her choice of fabric? You can’t go wrong with black faux leather as it perfectly showcases the details of the artwork in white. Even though the bag is not big on colors, you get a small touch of purple on the zipper pull—which happens to be Wong’s fave feature.
“The crystal ball zipper design is what I love the most,” she says. “Crystal balls are used as scrying tools to see into the future, as lore would have it, but they also symbolize good luck and positive energy.”
