IPSY designer Joanne Wong wanted to capture that warm, sparkly feeling that comes with the season of giving. “The design was inspired by the joy of gift-giving and the excitement of unwrapping something special,” she says. “The glitter bows and satin ribbon pull feel like a little celebration of the holiday season.”

Instead of sticking with the classic red-and-green combo, Wong went for something unexpected. “Lavender brings that cool, frosty vibe, while the red adds warmth and energy,” she explains. “They feel festive but modern, a fun twist on traditional holiday colors.”

The result? A pouch that’s equal parts cozy and couture. The red glitter bows shimmer against soft faux satin, giving the whole bag that perfect holiday glow without being over-the-top. And that red ribbon zipper pull? “It’s like tying a bow on a present every time you zip it,” Wong says. (Cue the collective aww.)

The Finishing Touches

Wong drew inspiration from the après ski trend: cozy, colorful, and just the right amount of glam. “Bows are having such a moment in fashion right now,” she says. “I loved playing with that motif and making it feel fresh and wearable.”

While getting the glitter texture just right wasn’t easy (“I wanted sparkle that felt refined, not overwhelming”), the final result sparkles with intention. “It catches the light beautifully and gives the bag a dimensional shine,” she adds.
