Forget reinvention. Throw resolutions out the door. Never mind starting over. In 2023, we urge you to just focus on doing you and discover whatever makes you happy: perfecting your skincare routine, experimenting with nail art, finding time to read, or reconnecting with friends.
It’s time to make yourself a priority, and we’re here to help, starting with your January 2023 Glam Bag and Glam Bag Plus designs. “January is the best time to start over and renew your beauty and wellness routines,” says Joanne Wong, our Glam Bag designer. “I was looking for the color and pattern inspiration to design the January Glam Bag to energize the new year and motivate our daily healthy routine.”
Color was Wong’s first route into renewal and self-care. “The lavender purple is not only predicted to be a big trend in 2023 by Coloro + WGSN (the leading consumer trend forecaster), but it is also a mood-boosting color that is perfect for self-care rituals,” adds Wong. “Digital Lavender, the contemporary shade, is subtle, pastel, and helps us to find peace.”

At first glance, the January 2023 Glam Bag designs gives us major nostalgia for the early aughts. Both the color combo and the furry material are giving 2003 Delia’s catalog (IYKYK) in the best way possible. The faux fur, in Coloro + WGSN’s Digital Lavender shade, complements the pop of bright green faux leather trim and wild rose zipper perfectly. “The faux fur is super soft,” says Wong. “I can’t stop touching this Glam Bag. Plus, looking and touching the bag helps calm my mind and boost my creativity.”
We can’t get enough of floral Glam Bag Plus prints, and the crocus flower print for January 2023 is no exception. Here’s what Wong has to say of the print design: “The crocus flowers symbolize rebirth, hope, joy, and new beginnings. The purple crocus flowers bloom bright and early after a long winter. They are usually the first to bloom and the flowers appear in January.” When you’re in the midst of a long, dark winter, the crocus flower is a bright and beautiful reminder that spring is coming. Plus, the bright green nylon drawstrings and rose pink woven IPSY label add to that warmth.
